HBOT Therapy
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a medical intervention that utilizes pressurized (hyperbaric) chambers to deliver high concentrations of oxygen (100%) to the body.
Normally, we breathe air with 21% oxygen. HBOT ramps this up to 100% while increasing air pressure two to three times higher than normal, the increased pressure allows the blood to dissolve and carry significantly more oxygen than under normal atmospheric conditions. This increase in oxygen concentration offers many therapeutic benefits. HBOT increased tissue oxygenation promoting faster wound healing by flooding body with oxygen and new blood vessel formation.
HBOT has established applications in treating chronic wounds associated with diabetes, radiation therapy, and arterial insufficiency. It’s also used for decompression sickness in divers, carbon monoxide poisoning, and certain infections resistant to conventional antibiotics.

How it works
01
Screening and getting started
After pre-screening and orientation you enter a pressurized chamber and breathe 100% pure oxygen.
02
Increased Oxygen Levels
The pressurized environment increases oxygen absorption. Oxygen-rich blood circulates throughout your body..
03
Cellular Repair
Increased oxygen accelerates tissue repair. It boosts collagen production and reduces inflammation.
04
Healing and Recovery
Damaged tissues receive the oxygen they need to heal. This promotes faster recovery and improved overall health.

Unlike a regular oxygen mask, HBOT uses a chamber that increases air pressure, allowing your blood to absorb more oxygen than usual, which speeds up healing.
The extra oxygen in HBOT helps your body make new blood vessels, reduces swelling, and speeds up the healing process for stubborn wounds.
HBOT is generally safe, but some people might feel ear pressure, sinus pain, or temporary vision changes. Dr Samatha Tulla, chief medical officer at PMX Health, is one of the few I.B.U.M certified Hyperbaric medicine practitioners globally and we follow the highest clinical standards and protocols in offering this therapy.
The number of sessions depends on what you’re being treated for. Some people might need just a few sessions, while others with chronic conditions might need 20-40 sessions.
People with certain lung problems or other specific health issues should avoid HBOT. At PMX Health, we conduct screenings to determine if HBOT is right for you.
HBOT involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which can promote healing and reduce inflammation. Some studies suggest that HBOT may improve skin elasticity, enhance collagen production, and reduce oxidative stress, all of which are factors in the aging process.
